In the hospital’s mortuary we provide an efficient and compassionate service that respects the dignity of deceased patients and their families.

 This is an important service that the hospital provides to patients who die. It is also central to supporting bereaved families at a very difficult time. We also work in partnership with Funeral companies to offer mortuary services to the community

The department runs under the control of a trained mortuary attendant. Some of the services that are offered include:

• Embalming
• Body treatment
• The viewing of remains when safe to do so
• Body storage using state of the art body fridges
• Postmortem
